The day started off with a little delay
But it wasn’t long before we was on our way
They said the road was all closed down
Just count it as part of your tour
On the way we saw almond and cashew groves
They was all in a line; more than a country boy could behoove
Then came the stop
along the way
Casa de Fruta was the name of the place
We all pulled in and found plenty of parking space
We went to Casa de Restaurant and had a big meal
We ate so much till we had our fill
Gerald and Lula couldn’t resist
So they checked off every delight on their list
The veggies we eat don’t come from the store
They are grown by the farmers all over this land
What we see has the big company brand
Tyson and KFC is what we see
But it starts with the land we will all agree
We got to the park in plenty of time
To see the whales jumping and spouting
Carol was watching them do their thing
Then it was time to eat again
Some of the group couldn’t wait to begin
Madi and Sandy was the queens of the show
They served the goodies with a smile as they go
Some things was hot and some was cool
But we all ate them down like hungry fools
