Day 11 - Travel Day to Coos Bay, OR

The day started with red sky but almost clear.  (“Red sky in the morn, sailor take warn”)  And the rains came starting in Bandon.

At times we could not see the ocean even at the many turn-outs.  Some caravaners stopped at the Coquille Light House.

Hex reported seals surfing the waves at a turn-out he took.  (Watch that cranberry wine closer)

A little longer drive today but roads still narrow and twisty.  By dinner time the rains had stopped and we were all safe in Gold Beach.  Virginia attempted to move a large rock with her vehicle.  She lost.  (She also learned not to have a certain member of the caravan close her black water tank valve.)

This will be our last stop before California (the land of sunshine and honey).  Time to hide veggies and fruits since California has border guards looking for these items.  I have been asked about these items but never had anyone come inside.  I have heard of some personal inspections tho.

Dinner time was a staff prepared one with Hex featuring his Cajun main course.  All are looking forward to the jet boat ride Saturday.  Be prepared to get wet.
