Day 38 - Free Day in Buellton, CA

Well here we are at the Flying Flags RV Resort campground in Buellton California.  The weather has been fantastic and the area is great.

We started out this morning with breakfast at Ellen’s Pancake House.  Everyone who went did not go away hungry with such a variety of food.

After breakfast everyone was off on their own to explore the surrounding area, and there was a lot to explore.

We found a group of bronze figures of children gathered around a flag pole all pledging allegiance to the flag which was great.

Next we went to the community of Solvang, the buildings and homes are very unique.

There are several windmills as well as very beautiful buildings.

The area is preparing for Halloween with many of the shops displaying scarecrows or something in keeping with the season.

There is a beautiful four faced clock on the main street that was very impressive.

Well after running around in some of the streets off the main drag, we came up on a covey of about twelve partridges.

And so ends another event filled day on our trip south.
