Day 26 - Travel Day to Columbia/Gold Country, CA

Joe, Donna, Gerald and I took a detour in Angel's Camp to Bob and Carolyn Henkel's grape farm (they are a couple we met last year on Adventure Caravans Lewis and Clark Trail). They grow their grapes and make wine.  It is called Mineral Wines.

We had the opportunity to "punch down" the grapes; a process that is done for making wine.  The grapes were in large vats.  

We also attended the grape stomping contest in Murphy's, California.  Lots of arts and crafts and yarn, yarn and more yarn.





Just before Joe and Donna were locked up in the calaboose, I took their picture.

Then on back to the RV park where Joe and Donna prepared pizza burgers, fruit pies and s'mores for everyone to cook over the fire.
